ACWA Supplier Member Velocity Vehicle Care is proud to support Australian motorcycle racer Joel Kelso #66, who is competing on the world stage in the Moto3 World Championship.
David and Felicity Moyns, owners of Velocity Vehicle Care, have been enthusiastic motorcyclists for many years. Motorcycles have always been a big part of our lives and remain one of our favourite ways to travel. In fact, we have just returned from a week-long motorcycle trip riding through country New South Wales.

That passion for sport extends throughout the Velocity Vehicle Care team. While motorcycles and motorcycle racing are particular favourites of ours, within the team you will find passionate supporters of MotoGP, Speedway, Formula 1, AFL Football, Cricket and even competition Salami making!
Our connection with Joel goes back quite a few years. We first met a very young Joel Kelso at a local race in Spain and have followed his career ever since. Even then, it was obvious just how much commitment was required for a young Australian rider to pursue a career in international motorcycle racing.
For Australian riders, competing at world championship level means much more than simply turning up and racing. They have to base themselves overseas for much of the year, travel constantly and compete against the best young riders from countries where motorcycle racing has a much larger following and established development pathways.

It was at the Phillip Island Motorcycle Grand Prix a few years ago that we became aware of some of the financial challenges Joel was facing to remain in the World Championship, despite having already demonstrated that he had the talent and determination to compete at the highest level.
We love motorcycles and motorcycle racing, but we also recognise that motorsport relies heavily on the support of businesses and individuals who are prepared to get behind talented young riders. Without that support, there simply won’t be a sport for the rest of us to enjoy.
So, in 2024, Velocity Vehicle Care made the decision to get on board and support Joel in his quest to become a World Champion.
2025 was a strong year for Joel, with four podium finishes, including a fantastic second place at his home Grand Prix at Phillip Island. Watching the #66 and an Australian rider we support stand on the podium in front of his home crowd was a particularly memorable moment.

This year has brought a new challenge, with Joel making the move from KTM to Honda. Changing manufacturers at this level requires a rider to adapt to a different motorcycle and work with the team to find the performance needed to compete at the front. While a podium has so far proved elusive, Joel continues to make progress and is looking forward to the upcoming flyaway rounds – particularly, of course, his home race at Phillip Island.
For us, supporting Joel is about more than having the Velocity Vehicle Care name on the #66 race bike. It’s about helping an Australian rider with the talent, commitment and ambition to compete against the best young motorcycle racers in the world.
There are some parallels with business as well. Success rarely happens overnight. It takes persistence, good people around you, a willingness to keep improving and the determination to continue when things don’t go exactly to plan. Those are qualities we admire in Joel and are very happy to support.
Whether it is Moto3, Speedway, Formula 1, cricket or any other sport, we appreciate the passion, commitment and teamwork required to compete at the highest level.
Joel’s ambition is simple: to become a World Champion.
Velocity Vehicle Care is proud to be along for the ride.
