However, we understand that extreme weather events can significantly impact businesses, and we want to make sure any affected operators are aware of the financial and recovery assistance available to help them get back on their feet.
Available Financial Assistance
- Disaster Assistance Loans – Up to $250,000 to repair/replace damaged equipment and infrastructure – Click Here
- Essential Working Capital Loans – Up to $100,000 to cover salaries, rent, and essential operational costs.
- Disaster Recovery Allowance – Fortnightly income support for up to 13 weeks for affected business owners – Click here
Extraordinary Disaster Assistance Recovery Grants – Now increased to $50,000 for small businesses. To qualify for the $50,000 grant, your car wash business:
- Be located in a disaster-declared area.
- Have suffered direct damage from the disaster event. Click here for QLD GOV
- Be primarily responsible for meeting the costs claimed in the application.
- Intend to re-establish the business in the same area.

Who Can Apply?
Businesses in declared disaster areas, including Brisbane, Bundaberg, Fraser Coast, Gold Coast, Ipswich, and other listed LGAs, are eligible. CLICK for more details
