ACWA is strongest when its Board reflects the people it represents—and that means we need operator voices at the table.
Earlier this year, I took on the President’s role as an interim measure to keep the wheels turning. It’s been a privilege—but I believe, and the Board agrees, that while supplier representation on the board is vital, the President’s position is best held by a car wash operator who understands the day-to-day realities of our industry. To this end, I will continue to serve as a director but will step down as President at the AGM.
Five years ago, ACWA faced serious financial challenges. Today, thanks to disciplined management and a series of highly successful Car Wash Shows and Rinse events, we are in our strongest position ever—both financially and strategically. We now have the resources and confidence to deliver bold ideas and address the issues that matter most to operators: profitability, regulation, workforce, water, waste management, and reputation.
Serving on the ACWA Board is an honour and a respected role within our industry. It offers the privilege of influencing change, guiding decisions, and representing the industry nationwide. The time commitment is modest, but the impact can be enormous—and you won’t be doing it alone.
