A massive thank you to everyone who came along to our first ACWA State Meetings for 2025 in Perth and Brisbane – what a fantastic turnout!
At both events the vibe was buzzing and the car wash chat flowed.
7 May in Perth, and a huge thanks to Dean for hosting at his Jetwash Tuart Hill site – a top-notch setup with a brand-new Piranha Wash Systems automatic, five self-serve bays, a wall of vacs, and more vending machines than Perth’s Optus Stadium.
Also, big cheers to our ACWA Member presenters: Steve from Piranha Wash Systems, who enlightened us with his in-depth knowledge of Piranha wash technology; Matt, Abi and George from Fuka, who updated the crowd with their new air dryer from Poland. Not to mention our old friend and IR Guru Graham from Essa, who shared ideas for getting the most out of our staff and avoiding industrial conflict. The knowledge shared by all of them was truly invaluable.
After the site tour, we wandered over to The Mighty Quinn Tavern for lunch, drinks, and a good old chat. A special shoutout to Stephen Lumley from Lumtech for kindly sponsoring the bar – your support is greatly appreciated, Stephen!
13 May in Brisbane, many thanks to Matt and Abi for generously hosting at their showcase site – BNE Airport Car Wash. They have been renovating this automatic, self-serve site with new equipment and new innovations since taking it over in a derelict condition a year ago. Their additions include:
- First in Australia and just installed a new air drier from Poland with +500km/h air
- Installed extender booms on one of the bays and dual-boom on another for washing buses and trucks
- Commenced offering a new service of Weed and Seed Inspection which is important in keeping vehicles compliant and our ecosystem safe
Many thanks to our ACWA Member presenters on the day – Matt, Abi and George, Fuka who updated the crowd with their new air dryer from Poland and Alec Moyo, Calm Water Treatment.
Also, many thanks to our other ACWA supplier members who spontaneously shared their insights with the group on the day.
The group stayed together for networking over drinks, lunch and for some the chance to show off their golf skills at the nearby driving range, Golf Central Brisbane Airport.
