Dear ACWA Members,
As many of you know, there have been some recent changes within the ACWA Board, including the resignation of Matt Hood as President. We’d like to take a moment to acknowledge and thank Matt, along with our other departing directors, for their time and contribution to the Association.
At our recent Board meeting, I was honoured to be elected as ACWA President. I’m pleased to share that the Board is united in its commitment to strengthening ACWA and ensuring it remains a strong, supportive, and forward-focused organisation for our members. I’m looking forward to working with the Board and, most importantly, with all of you — our members — to keep ACWA strong, supportive, and focused on the future.
With change comes opportunity. Over the coming months, the Board will take the time to reset, refine, and strengthen our direction to ensure ACWA remains a strong, member-driven organisation. Our priorities remain the same — supporting car wash operators, advocating for the industry, and delivering services that help you succeed.
As part of this, we’ll be holding a series of informal member catchups at our state meetings to hear directly from you. These will be a great opportunity to chat about what’s working, what’s not, and what you’d like to see from ACWA moving forward. Whether you’ve got ideas, concerns, or just want to connect with other operators, we’d love for you to be part of the conversation.
In the meantime, if you have any thoughts or suggestions, I’d love to hear them — and so would any of our Board members. Please feel free to reach out to me or any of the directors for a chat anytime.
Finally, for those of you in areas affected by Cyclone Alfred, our thoughts remain with you. We hope you, your families, and your businesses escaped unscathed, and that you all weathered the storm without issue.
