With four new Directors and a refreshed leadership lineup, ACWA is entering 2026 with a strong and diverse Board.
Introducing ACWA’s New Leadership Team
At its December meeting, the Board appointed the Association’s leaders for the year ahead.
President – Tony Young (Wash Republic, NSW)
Tony returns to ACWA’s leadership team, having previously served as Director and Treasurer of the Association. Tony has nine years’ experience as a multi-site operator across NSW. He has an extensive background that includes 25 years in residential and commercial property development, 35 years in business services and taxation consulting, and he is a Chartered Accountant. Tony brings strong financial and strategic capability to the role.
Vice President – Matthew Ormiston (Soak City, NSW/VIC)
With over 35 years of experience in corporate carpark operations and five car wash sites across NSW and Vic under his management, Matthew brings a truly national and commercial lens to ACWA’s leadership team.
Treasurer – Stephen Rzepka (Classic Car Wash, QLD)
Stephen is a long-serving ACWA Board member and a well-respected figure in the Australian car wash community. Stephen has owned and managed wash sites and is the former owner of Piranha Car Wash Systems, a major supplier business he successfully operated and recently sold. Stephen’s blend of frontline operator experience, supplier knowledge and governance continuity makes him ideally placed to oversee ACWA’s financial strategy.
Congratulations to Tony, Matt and Stephen—each brings unique strengths that will help drive ACWA’s strategic priorities in the coming year.
